    Pickup switching question...

    Let's say...

    VA7.2 neck
    VA7.2 middle
    HF2 bridge

5 way, 3 = N+B tone down, M tone up, bridge split on mini toggle.

Do I want a reverse wound VA7.2 in the neck to make the neck + split bridge combo hum cancel? Willing to sacrifice position 4 hum cancelling to get 2 and 3 to hum cancel.

If you have a super switch you can do what I did and wire the inner coil to pair with the neck in the bridge+neck when the selector is in the middle position (and the tone pot pulled out). And use the outer coil of the humbucker to pair with the middle in position 2. As long as you put the RWRP pickups in the right spot and turn the bridge around the right way, you get hum cancelling in all combined positions. Can't remember exactly how I wired it up, but that 4p5t super switch lets you pretty much do anything.
