Yup still a 5 way. Pup combinations is
    Neck in series
    Neck in parallel
    Neck + bridge
    Bride in parallel
    Bridge in series

It is the same switching it would have if it where to full humbuckers

I am def not a big neck bucker fan bit would need to be super weak. They always sound to big for me. With that said as you know I have an HC1- in the neck of my HTC and although I only use that neck bucker alone for lead lines I love how it mixes with the TM2 in the combo positions

I've never considered a HB in the neck position because the splits I've heard didn't do a good enough single coil tone. I really like a PAF HB tone in neck spot every now and then. Next gtr I will consider a HB in the neck if it splits good enough. I've heard several examples of Anderson's with neck HB's that sounded great split and not.

i think hotter hb's split the best so it's always a " how hot a hb can i stand so that i get a great split sound". so if you're a "i love totally weak neck hb's, then the split will never be ideal. so figuring out where the priorities are is the key.

I have HF1s in my Classic and my PRS CE22 and I love it.
It splits beautifully and sounds like a great single coil when split.
Its also not muddy in full mode unlike other neck humbuckers I've tried.
    My favourite neck humbucker.

I have an HC1 in my bull dog and it is nice. I have had an HC1- and H1- before and both lacked a bit of the highs I was hoping to hear I have similar issue with ph1- I love them all for leads but not so much for chords

The guitars they were in were drastically different but I feel like I get a bit more high end sparkle from the HC1 than the HC-1. I guess you are going to tell me that the HC1 should be darker?

I replaced the HF1- in my Classic's neck position with an HF1...much sweeter highs, much more "present".

yes the 1- should be brighter, but the extra output on the 1 could make it be more "present".

Pickup height is also a big factor.
My Classic has an HF1 in the neck and because its the 1st HSH arrangement I've ever had,
I'm still messing with the height of the neck.
The same pickup in my old PRS sounds quite different, the woods definitely play a part but I stand
by my earlier opinion that when split it really does sound like a great single coil.
I've just had an HF2 fitted in the bridge of my Drop Top and an H2+ put in the bridge of the Classic.
In this instance the H2+ splits far more convincingly than the HF2.
The H2+ works brilliantly in my Classic but the jury is still out on the HF2. I ordered it with the new open face cover without knowing that the cover prevents me from setting it at the same height as the H2+. The cover means it has to be set lower by at least 2/32".
